My thing is this: Michael Jackson died almost three years ago. THREE. WHOLE. YEARS. When Michael was alive, no one wanted to hear his truth. No one wanted to accept his truth. No one wanted to believe him. It was better to make fun of Michael than rather to try and understand him. Yes, Michael was eccentric. Yes, Michael had poor judgment. Yes, Michael was not “normal” (but then again, are any of us normal?). But he was HUMAN. And the way that Michael was treated, he was denied the right to be treated simply as a human being. Between his family and the media, Michael was never allowed to just be human. So all of these facts about Michael coming out now really just leave a bad taste in my mouth. It’s a real shame what people will run with WITHOUT THE FACTS. Disgusting, really.
